Just finished “Monsters Inc.” as part of my day-long Pixar extravaganza in celebration of the gaping holes in my gums that once held my wisdom teeth.
I feel like “Monsters Inc.” is the most underrated of all the Pixar movies because it was sandwiched between the innovation of “Toy Story” and the heartwarming story of “Finding Nemo.” As far as creative storyline and spot-on adult humor, “Monsters Inc.” remains one of my favorites. They say every story has already been told, but leave it to Pixar to find something completely brand new. From start to finish, it’s every bit as brilliant as front-runners like “Finding Nemo” and “Wall-E.”
The problem with Pixar, though? Which ever one I’m watching is my current favorite. But I stand behind my assertion that “Monsters Inc.” is incredibly underrated.
Moving on to Nemo …
