Last night at dinner, the waitress gave Tony a funny look, and then said, “Has anyone ever told you that you look like …”
Tony gave me a terrified look that said, “Oh God, do I really want to hear this?”
She stopped and said, “Do you know who I’m going to say?” When Tony shook his head, she said, “Jim from ‘The Office.’”
I don’t think Tony really bought it, but he looked relatively relieved that she hadn’t said Will Ferrell (whom his students have compared him to, but I think it’s just because of the healthy amount of facial hair he can grow in a relatively short period of time), or someone even more depressing.
I kind of shrugged when the waitress walked away, and told him I’d never really thought about it. But this morning as I edited my photos from yesterday, I don’t know, I guess I can kind of see where she got that. Even if Tony’s not as lanky, they share a similar face shape. And, of course, that look that says, “I’m a sap. Love me.”
P.S. I apologize for the blurry shot, but this may be the only picture I have of Tony actually smiling.
