Oh, Facebook

Two girls I barely knew in high school are having a very public, very childish fight via Facebook. Through several status updates and comments, I’ve gathered the gist: “Backstabber” accused her former friend “Liar” of “starting high school drama” via her status. After some arguing via comments about who is actually responsible for starting the drama, Liar claimed through her status that she doesn’t have time for this “high school drama” and demanded that Backstabber “grow up!”

This fight has consumed my NewsFeed for three days.

After defriending both of them, I couldn’t help but wish we’d never opened up Facebook to people who don’t have college educations. Is that elitist?
